#1 The Digital Orthodontist: Live!
Dr. Kyle Fagala introduced the video podcast to orthodontists with The Digital Orthodontist: Live! in November of 2018. Kyle is an orthodontist based out of Memphis, TN and co-founder of the marketing agency Neon Canvas. Kyle live streamed his podcasts on Facebook to a “prime-time” audience and they had a certain late night talk show appeal. As a host, Kyle is well-spoken, thoughtful & witty. Kyle’s podcast strikes the perfect balance between being informative yet fun!
#2 The Orthopreneurs Podcast
Dr. Glenn Krieger started The Orthopreneurs Podcast in December 2018. Glenn is a well-known orthodontist based out of Dallas, TX and the force behind Orthopreneurs, a community for orthodontists. Glenn has an incredibly prolific output with over 300 episodes and counting. Glenn also offers a fantastic 5-minute Friday episode, which is a short form podcast where he discusses various business, motivational, leadership or personal development topics.
#3 Elevate Orthodontics Podcast
Dr. Lance Miller introduced podcasts for orthodontists with his groundbreaking Elevate Orthodontics Podcast. His weekly show produced an impressive 69 episodes between January 2017 and October 2019. As a host, Lance was thought-provoking and inspirational. While the podcast has been on hiatus for the past five years, the conservations & topics are still very relevant and it’s worth listening through the archives!
#4 Hey Docs! Podcast
Hey Docs! is a relative newcomer to the orthodontic podcast space starting in June of 2022. Jill Allen of Jill Allen & Associates is an orthodontic consultant best known for her work with orthodontic start-up practices. Jill is a wonderful host with a warm personality and infectious laugh! Her weekly podcast has a nice variety of guests and is a very well produced show!
#5 The Golden Age of Orthodontics
The Golden Age of Orthodontics is co-hosted by Dr. Leon Klempner and Amy Epstein of the marketing agency People + Practice. Leon is a retired orthodontist from Long Island, NY and his daughter & business partner Amy has an extensive background in marketing & public relations. This monthly podcast was launched in April of 2019 as The Survival Guide for Orthodontists. I really enjoy the innovative focus of The Golden Age, which is topically the most similar to Illuminate. I also love the father-daughter banter and dynamic!
#6 orthodontics in summary
Orthodontics in Summary is a podcast out of the United Kingdom hosted by orthodontist Dr. Farooq Ahmed. Farooq’s podcast series includes a variety of short form episodes summarizing orthodontic lectures and research as well as longer format interviews with preeminent orthodontists. Orthodontics in Summary initially launched in May of 2020 as a weekly podcast and now releases episodes on a biweekly or monthly basis. Orthodontics in Summary is the most formal and scholarly of the orthodontic podcasts and is very educational and well done!

#7 Own Your Role with Dino Watt
The Own Your Role podcast is hosted by charismatic consultant Dino Watt, best known for his leadership and communications coaching as well as building a positive team culture. This weekly podcast was initially launched as The Propreneur Podcast in March of 2020. Own Your Role includes a variety of guests and topics that appeal to business owners well beyond the typical orthodontic or dental channels. As a host, Dino is a natural behind the mic and simply one of my favorites!
#8 Ortho Marketing Live
One of the longest running podcasts in orthodontics, Ortho Marketing Live began in June of 2017 and is hosted by Dean Steinman. Dean owns the marketing agency Ortho Marketing. The podcast is occasionally co-hosted by his Aligner Insider partner and Invisalign guru Dr. Barry Glaser. Ortho Marketing has produced an impressive 150+ episodes with a weekly release schedule.
#9 The In Your Face Podcast
The In Your Face Podcast is co-hosted by Dr. Blair Feldman and Craig Weiss, the brains behind Retainer Club & Mouthguard Club. Blair is a retired orthodontist from Scottsdale, AZ and Craig is an entrepreneur with an impressive business background. Blair is hilarious and hands down the funniest orthodontic podcaster! In Your Face launched in February of 2020 as a weekly podcast though it has been on hiatus since 2022. Blair promises In Your Face will return in 2024 with some new co-hosts and I can’t wait for it to come back!
#10 Dental Student Podcast
Rounding out the list is the popular Dental Student Podcast (DSP). While this podcast is geared towards dental students and residents, it is hosted by recent orthodontic graduate Dr. Onni Franco. Onni now practices as an orthodontist in South Florida and is a phenomenal podcast host with a distinctively smooth baritone voice. His guests include a variety of dentists, dental specialists (including orthodontists) and industry experts. Dental Student Podcast was started in July 2018 by Onni and his classmates Drs. Justin Norrell, RJ González & Eric Rabinowitz at the University of Florida.
